Bruno Mars, 'The Lazy Song' -- New Song

Bruno Mars is fully intent on "not doing anything" in his latest single, 'The Lazy Song.'The song features the sunny, stress-free Hawaiian sound that Mars grew up with, and is about taking time to relax. Even the instrumentation emphasizes this, with a single upbeat guitar riff, spare drumming and not much else, save for Mars' relaxed, golden crooning rising above the rhythms.The song sounds like the perfect soundtrack for a summer happy-hour meetup, though it could equally provide a sonic backdrop for any well-deserved escape from winter's doldrums. Mars sings about a daydream day spent lying around in bed, letting the phone ring, getting together with his girl for some love and strutting around naked.

The idea is, as Mars says, to "let everything hang loose," even if that first lazy day stretches into another, and another:"Yeah I might mess around / And get my college degree / I bet my old man will be so proud of me / But sorry pops, you'll just have to wait."

'The Lazy Song' is the third proper single of Mars' debut record, 'Doo-Wops & Hooligans.' Both of the record's previous singles, 'Just the Way You Are' and 'Grenade,' topped Billboard's Hot 100 chart.

Dev, 'Bass Down Low' Feat. the Cataracs -- New Song

She was the voice behind the Far East Movement's smash hit 'Like a G6,' and now Dev takes center stage on the new song 'Bass Down Low,' featuring her producers the Cataracs.

'Bass Down Low' opens with Dev explaining in a sing-rap style, "If you wanna get with me, there's some things you gotta know / I like my beats fast and my bass down low."

That pretty much describes the song itself, an electro club banger that features skittering synths and a lyrical shout-out to the Black Eyed Peas' 'Boom Boom Pow.'

Dev teases listeners with the come-on, "Straight buzzin' Robotussin / Wanna get ya mitts in my oven? / Wanna get a lick of this lovin'?"

Born Devin Tailes, Dev was originally discovered by the Cataracs after posting a song on Myspace that she recorded on her MacBook. 'Bass Down Low' is expected to appear on her debut album, due later this year.

Eminem, 'Space Bound' -- New Song

Eminem deals with relationship problems again on the confrontational new song 'Space Bound,' the fourth and final single planned from the rapper's multi-platinum release 'Recovery.'

Marshall Mathers pours his heart out, declaring his undying affection for a girl who "must be a sorceress, did the impossible, gained my trust." But after more than a year together, she wants to break it off, causing Eminem to feel violent urges:

"Drop to my knees and I'm pleading / I'm trying to stop you from leaving / You won't even listen so f*** it / I'm trying to stop you from breathing / I put both hands on your throat / I sit on top of you squeezing / 'Til I snap your neck like a Popsicle stick."

Eminem's fast-paced delivery stands in contrast to the slow tempo of the song, which features little more than an acoustic guitar and a few spacey synth bloops. The song's vocal hook is provided by co-writer Steve McEwan, who normally writes country songs for artists like Carrie Underwood and Faith Hill.

'Space Bound' is the only track on 'Recovery' produced by Jim Jonsin, whose recent work includes Nelly's 'Just a Dream' and Usher's 'There Goes My Baby.'

'Recovery' was just named Rap Album of the Year at the 53rd Annual Grammys, one of two awards Eminem took home, along with Best Rap Solo Performance for 'Not Afraid.'

Kenny Chesney 'Live a Little' -- New Song

Kenny Chesney has released 'Live a Little,' the high-energy third single from his latest album 'Hemingway's Whiskey.'

'Live a Little' is a country bar room-stomper, complete with riffing guitars and a feel-good Nashville hook. The tune intros and ends with pulsing guitars reminiscent of The Who's 'Won't Get Fooled Again,' and although the verse quickly settles in for a pleasant poppy melody, Chesney keeps the bombastic country swagger within arms reach at all times.

Lyrically, the song is as lighthearted as the music, with nods to the simpler things in life. Chesney reminds the listener to "feel the sand between your toes, unplug, unwind," and "step out in the sunshine" between lines that illustrate American life, including the mundane daily routines and the thrill of dancing with a girl on a Friday night.

Chesney's 14th studio album, 'Hemingway's Whiskey,' debuted at No. 1 in the U.S. and has been certified gold, selling over 650,000 copies. Both of the album's previous singles, 'The Boys of Fall' and 'Somewhere With You,' peaked at No. 1 on Billboard's Hot Country Chart.

Green Day, 'Cigarettes and Valentines' -- New Song

Green Day has released 'Cigarettes and Valentines' from their new live album, 'Awesome as F***,' due out on March 22.

The tracks on the album were recorded during Green Day's 21st Century Breakdown World Tour in 2009 and 2010.

The California rockers performed 'Cigarettes and 'Valentines' live for the first time on this tour, and this particular cut was taken from the band's Phoenix, Ariz. date.

In just under three minutes, Billie Joe Armstrong sings about wanting to freeze this moment in time: "Take a ride through the avenues / Across the Great Divide / There's a siren screaming 'I'm alive' / It cries / Red alert is the color / Of your paper valentines / Intertwined on this moment passing by."

The song is the title track from an unreleased studio album that was intended to follow Green Day's 2000 album 'Warning.' However, after 20 master recordings from the 'Cigarettes and Valentines' sessions were stolen, the band decided to start from square one, creating their multi-platinum album 'American Idiot.'
